Named property for folders in wrapped PST

Aug 29, 2013 at 7:59 PM

I want to keep information about the folder in a wrapped PST and I wanted to used named properties. We can add named properties to a regular PST folder but this cannot be done in the wrapped PST file.
How it can be fixed? or how I can keep data about a folder in a wrapped PST store?

Where specifically do you get blocked in adding named props to the wrapped PST folder? The Wrapped PST sample doesn't fully wrap the PST, with most of the interfaces left as an exercise for the reader. Most likely whatever problem you're having with named props is related to the incomplete wrapping.

Both GetIDsFromNames on a LPMAPIFOLDER object and setProps for setting the named property return 0x0. So there is no error. But the property is not added to the properties of the folder.
In this project there is a GetIDsFromNames implementation for CMsgStore.

So which interface I should implement to make it work?

I'd actually have to debug this. I suggest you open a support case.

Steve, I looked into this and GetProps/SetProps works fine. GetPropList, however, does not return named props from the underlying PST provider ( m_pUnderlyingPSTFolder->GetPropList(...) ) for a folder. Any thoughts?

Does any of this work with a regular PST?
